How It Started
National You Only Live Once (YOLO) Day was started to encourage people to appreciate every single day and help them live life to the fullest. After experiencing the ups and downs of my teen years, I realized just how important it is to appreciate the life I live. These experiences inspired me to create this holiday to spread joy and happiness about life to the world.
